Dr. Jason Jimenez

Dr. Jason "Jay" Jimenez has over a decade of experience in education, with a career encompassing teaching, leadership, and business development. As a former teacher for grades 6-12 and an administrator across all grade levels, he has developed a well-rounded perspective on the needs of students and educators alike. At REAL Journey Academies, Dr. Jay has held key leadership positions, including Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO), before stepping into his current role as Chief Business Officer (CBO). He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Social Science and a Master of Science in Education from California Baptist University, a Doctorate in Leadership for Educational Justice from the University of Redlands, and a Chief Business Officer Certificate from the University of Southern California. Additionally, Dr. Jay is an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego, teaching courses on STEAM, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and Leadership.

 

Outside of work, Dr. Jay is a devoted family man, happily married to his high school sweetheart for over 28 years. He enjoys golfing, attending charitable events, and spending quality time with friends and family. Passionate about making a difference, he serves as Board President for the Inland Leaders Charter School and C.H.A.R.L.E.E. Family Care, Inc., where he channels his leadership skills into meaningful community service.

 

Dr. Jay is continually inspired by the students, teachers, and staff at REAL Journey Academies. He admires the resilience and creativity of his colleagues and students and is deeply committed to fostering their success. By promoting academic achievement, character development, and community service, Dr. Jay ensures his work aligns with RJA's mission. His goal is to create opportunities and provide innovative tools that empower students to thrive in high school and beyond, while supporting teachers in building vibrant, engaging classrooms where learning comes alive.
