Jacqueline Woods-Jefferson

Superintendent

Jacqueline Jefferson is an accomplished educational leader, superintendent, professor, and consultant with more than three decades of experience advancing student achievement, developing leaders, and transforming educational systems. As Superintendent of REAL Journey Academies, she provides visionary leadership focused on innovation, organizational excellence, and preparing future-ready learners through entrepreneurial and whole-child educational practices.

Mrs. Jefferson has served in numerous executive leadership roles, including Chief of Schools for Children of Promise Preparatory Academy, Chief Academic Officer for ICEF Public Schools, Founding Principal of ICEF Inglewood Elementary Charter Academy, and Principal of ICEF View Park Preparatory Accelerated Elementary Charter School. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at California Baptist University and is a member of the University’s School of Education Dean’s Executive Council.

Widely respected for her expertise in school improvement, accreditation, leadership development, and strategic planning, Mrs. Jefferson has served as a WASC Accreditation Reviewer since 2012 and previously served as a California Distinguished School Reviewer. She has supported school quality reviews and leadership initiatives for districts and institutions throughout California and across the nation.

Mrs. Jefferson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, and a Master of Science in K–12 Studies from Capella University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree through Liberty University, with expected completion in 2027.
